Hope that everyone had Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! I failed at Christmas cards this year.. I had addresses and was all set and yeah epic fail.... :) Oh well right!?! There is always next year..
I am hoping to get some new family pictures here soon. I have a great friend who is a wonderful photographer and she is going to take our pictures... just gotta find the time!

Cadence and Danica are still in dance :) Cadence is on the mini jazz line at Elite Academy and she has a mandatory boot camp..:) She has her first competition at the end of April and their final concert is in May.
I am so proud of her. So far she has been able to keep up with dance (she takes 3 classes) and her school work which of course is her #1 priority.

Danica is doing awesome. She has had a bit of an attitude but what can I say she is still 3! I wonder if the terrible 2's continue..?? She is fully potty trained! So proud of her for that she sleeps all night in big girl undies! Knock on wood she hasn't had ANY accidents!! We really got lucky with her she pretty much potty trained herself!! Good Job Danica! :) I've gotta start figuring out what pre-school to get her into for the end of 2001... isn't that sad that we've already got to think about pre-school for her!Soon enough she will be in kindergarten and then in full time school!! Crazy how fast these last few years have flown by.....

I can't make any promises to be a better blogger but I will of course try! :)

Ok so every year I always say how much more I want to blog...blah..blah...blah....:) Our life is so crazy and so busy that I blog as much as I can..So here are a few pictures from Halloween.. the girls did have really cute hair and it was down pouring rain on them when they tried to go trick or treating.. 2010 wasn't a great success for trick or treating we made it like 4 houses before we gave up!!
I must admit that I am so happy that 2010 was over..I am hoping that 2011 will be much nicer to us!

Cadence received a award from school a few weeks ago. We couldn't be more proud of her! The award was given by the principal of her school. She was awarded a certificate for "Perfect Spelling". Good Job Cadence!

5 hour stew....

My mother in law makes a mean stew... I made this for dinner last night... it was fantastic...just wanted to share.

Preheat oven to 275
1 or 2lbs of stew meat browned
2 cans cream of chicken
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can tomato soup
...1 pkg French onion soup
3 cans of water
3 or 4 large potatoes peeled and diced
Any veggies- carrots, corn.......

Place all ingredients in a large pan
Cover with tinfoil and bake for 5 hrs

Wow..November already?!? I can't believe that 2010 has come and is almost gone! How crazy time flies! Our cute little family is doing awesome! Both girls are really loving dance classes. Danica is loving her tumbling class. It is parents night tonight and that means I get to video Cadence doing her Christmas dance! I can't wait to see it! I am so proud of her!
Cadence is doing awesome in school as well! Every week they get 5 words that they have to practice spelling and saying and I am so proud to say that she get 100% almost every time. She missed one a few weeks ago because she forgot one letter but for the most part she is doing good in school. She is liking it a little more each week. She also has to read for 20 minutes everyday and she reads really well.Parent teacher conference is next week so we will have to see what her teacher says... :)
Danica is my little spit fire still! I think it is the age though...I guess being 3 is a bit rough... However I am pretty sure we all will survive.. :) She is so active and talks so much! She has learned so much from Cadence. Cadence has taught her how to count to 10 in english and spanish.. Cadence has also helped us teach Danica how to spell words... Danica takes tap/ballet and tumbling and for being only 3 she does pretty well. She is funny because she will walk across the living room with her hands on her little hips and kick and point her toes all the way across the living room floor! The funniest thing is how serious her face is... priceless... she really concentrates on what she is doing!
Our life is so much fun!

Yes I know that Halloween was yesterday!! I will have to post some pictures tonight or tomorrow... Hope that everyone had a wonderful Halloween.. We sure did! We celebrated it on Saturday..because nobody in Utah celebrates anything on Sunday except Christmas... Even though it rained so trick or treating wasn't much of an option! However the girls still had a really good time! We took them to see Nana and Papa (Chad's Parents) and she gave them the movie "How To Train A Dragon". Both girls were pretty excited about that. Then it was off to Uncle Noble and Aunt Stacey's house! We had a birthday party for her because she turned the BIG 40!! There were lots of little kids that they girls played with! The best part of the night was when all the kids were singing and dancing to Lady Gaga... It was quite amusing! However when I tried to snap a picture they would all stop dancing and singing therefore I threw in the towel and gave up on trying to take pictures!! :)

I am so proud of Cadence! She was dancer of the week this week!! She was super excited! She has been working her little bum off! She goes every Monday from 4:30 to 7:10pm! She takes 3 classes in 1 night and is learning 2 different dances! We are so proud of her!!

Chad and I went to a friends wedding last weekend! They had the coolest thing ever at their wedding! They had a full sized photo booth!! It was right as you walked into the reception hall. It made 2 copies one for you to keep and one to go to the happy couple. They even made the happy couple scrap book pages right there on the spot! Everyone signed a little note and their name by their photo strip! What an amazingly awesome idea!! I so totally wish we would have an idea that like that at our wedding...can't believe it has been 6 years! Wow how time flies when you are having fun! Here are some of the fun pictures we took!! Thirty........

So I was reading my friends blog today and she was writing about how she is going to be 30 in about 6 months! That got me thinking.... **Shuttering** I am also going to be 30 as well...in oh about 6 months!!!

Why is turning 30 so scary to me? I don't want to be 30!**Stomping my feet** Seriously!!! I think of turning 30 and I just want to cry my eyes out. I had a hard enough time turning 25 and believe me I cried for days about that one! I can't even fathom turning 30. I bet you I will be a train wreck just before.

I know that age is just a number and it shouldn't be that big of a deal...however, I am having a hard time with this one!

I wonder if this is normal to freak out at this point in your life? Maybe it is a woman thing and it doesn't affect men the same... I just don't know.

Well all I know is that it is going to happen and not sure how I feel about it, obviously nothing I can really do about it. I just don't understand why it get me all worked up to think that I am going to be 30!

I think I am done with my venting.

Labor Day Camping

We took a camping trip over labor day weekend..It was so much fun! we went to our favorite spot in Manti canyon. We got there early Saturday morning, we set up camp and Chad took the girls fishing. Over the course of the weekend Cadence caught about 30 fish but she only kept a few to eat. She let the rest go. Cadence loves fishing so much!! Danica had fun too. On Sunday my dad took the girls out on the lake in his raft. Danica was a little nervous at first but loved it once they were out on the lake. We rode the 4 wheelers lots! Sadly we had to come home on Monday.. Hopefully we can go camping again before it gets too cold...Here are a few pictures..

September Already?!?

I can't believe that it is September already!! How fast this summer has gone by! I am super excited that both the girls start dance here shortly! I think Danica is going to love dance and tumbling! Cadence is going to be doing mini jazz line and she is very excited to do ballet! :) She's got the long legs for it!!

So far Cadence likes school! I am hoping that it stays that way! I will keep everyone posted on how she is doing! She is doing super well at reading! She loves to read books.. Yay! Cadence loves school lunch too! They are doing a new program at her school and they are purchasing local grown fruit and veggies for lunches.

1st Grade.....

Cadence started first grade!! How time has flown by so fast! I can't believe that she is in school full time now! She loves it! She did tell me at first she wanted to go back to pre-school so she only had to go for 2 hours a day, but once she found out that some of her friends from her kindergarten class where in her 1st grade class she was thrilled!! Chad and I are so proud of Cadence! She had become quite the young lady!

Park City

So this past weekend we took a mini vacation to Park City! We had such a great time! I love having our family time! We stayed at an amazing condo with my in-laws.. (thanks Howard and Kelly for inviting us).
Chad entered his 1985 Mustang LX into the IMAFS (Intermountain Mustang & All Ford Stampede)show. It was so much fun. We took the girls' little hot wheels Mustang and entered it into the show! They had so much fun cleaning their car and making it look all pretty! At the end of it, Cadence and Danica won an award for entering their car! Chad also won an award for his car! I am so happy for him!
On Friday we took a drive out to Strawberry bay and had lunch at the marina. It was so yummy and what a beautiful drive! We had a UHP (Utah Highway Patrol) leading our group of cars up there! Yes we did get to speed a little!! Kelly, Myself and Julie (Chad's Aunt) went to the outlet stores...well I got school clothes for Cadence checked off my to do list..
Friday night we went to fantastic restaurant called "The Grub Steak".. oh my.. it was delish!
Saturday was the car show and Saturday night was the banquet dinner when they announced all the winners..Again so proud of my hubby and my girls for winning awards!
Sunday we had a delish breakfast and came home!!

Back on July 24th 1847 the Pioneers settled in UTAH! It is a state holiday! It is bigger than the 4th of July for many Utahans. Normally we go camping each year for this weekend however this year we stayed home. So we went to our dear friends Scott and Jasmine's home for a bbq and some fireworks. Utah Blaze Game

So Chad decided a few weeks ago that he and I were going to a Utah Blaze game.. If you are not familiar it is Area Football.. since it is not football season now Chad wanted a little fix! Imagine that... :)
We got really great seats! About the second half of the game there were some empty seats next to me. 2 Polynesian guys came and sat next to us well one next to me and the other right behind us! Chad being the football guy that he is he recognized the guy sitting next to me.. Reno Mahe.. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles which happens to be Chad's FAVORITE football team! Reno doesn't play anymore but him and his family all live here in Utah.. So make a long story short he let us take pictures with him!
Oh it gets better! The guy that was sitting behind us is a current NFL player.. Haloti Ngata! He plays for the Baltimore Ravens. Both of them were super nice! We lucked out that night because us going to the game was a last minute thing! So happy we did!

OMG! I feel like I haven't been on here in FOREVER!! Each year I keep telling myself I want to blog more! Where has this year gone? Honestly I can't believe that we are already half way through JULY!! Our little family has been very blessed and fortunate to have done so much this year!
Here is a small summary of what we have been up to!
March:, Chad and I took our annual "mommy and Daddy" trip to Las Vegas foe 4 days! We had a blast as always! It is so nice to have time for us but it was nicer coming home to our girls!

April: I finally did it! I got confirmed into the Catholic Church! I feel so comfortable with my decision! I had been raised Catholic and failed to continue going to church as I got older however I have been going back and I am happy!
Chad and I took the girls down to Phoenix, AZ to visit with family, spend my birthday down there and we also squeezed in going to the Nascar Race.. (Chad has a customer who owns season tickets to the track and he was generous enough to give them to us). We had so much fun! Chad took Cadence to her very first Nascar race and let me tell you she LOVED it! She freaked out with all the cars! She keeps asking when can we go again!! I hope soon!

May: We baptized the girls into the Catholic Church! That was such a fantastic day and I am super thankful to have such an amazingly supportive family and friends! We were so lucky that my Nana was able to be here for that big day! And another Thank You to DJ and Blake for being there that day for us!

Cadence had her final dance concert! She did AMAZING! She danced her little heart out and she looked fantastic as always! She ended dance for the summer and starts back up in September! Hopefully we will make Mini Jazz Line this year! She is excited because her favorite teacher (Ms. Sara) is teaching that class!
June: Cadence turned 6! Another great year with our little girl! I am somewhat sad that she is getting so big!
She is super smart! She finished kindergarten and she is ahead of most! She is reading! She loves to read books and she has been working on bigger word with flash cards that her daycare does!
We started working with Danica to potty train! Surprisingly it has been SUPER EASY!!!
She loves "Big girl undies".
July: Well for the 4th of July we had family and friends over for a BBQ and fireworks! It was so much fun! Cadence and Danica both loved watching the fireworks and wanted more!
Danica is still doing well on her potty training! I am excited! She hasn't had a diaper in about 6 weeks! We have been using pull-ups at night and nap time and regular undies for the rest of the day! I am so proud of her!
Cadence is doing great and very excited to start 1st grade!!! She starts at the end of August!
Last weekend we took the girls fishing at Mill Hollow.. Didn't really catch anything.. everything was too small to keep but the had so much fun!
We are going camping for our annual "Manti Trip" for Chad's birthday next weekend and I am EXCITED!! A bit sad that we have been super busy and haven't been camping yet this year but oh well... Such as life..
I will post some pictures hopefully this weekend!

Cadence's First Dance Concert

Cadence had her first dance concert this past Saturday! She did AMAZING! We are so proud of her, she remembered all of the dance! I will have to post a picture of her before she danced. We sat so far back that my camera wouldn't really focus on her! So I didn't get any pictures of her dancing and of course my luck I forgot our video camera! However she does perform in June so I will be more prepared for that!

Oreo Truffles...

Made these last night! Delicious!

Oreo Truffles
2 pkgs of semi sweet chocolate chips
1 pkg Oreos (not double stuffed)
2 pkgs 8oz cream cheese (softened)... See More

Crush the entire pkg of Oreos,make sure they are finely crushed.
Mix crushed Oreos with cream cheese.
Leave in bowl and let it chill for 30 minutes.

Once chilled roll the mixture into little balls, place them on wax paper.

Put in freezer for about 10 minutes.

Melt chocolate chips

Take Oreos from the freezer and start dipping them in the melted chocolate.

If you want to add a drizzle of white chocolate do so!

After getting them all covered in chocolate I place them in the fridge overnight.

Enjoy!
You can do lots of different things such as add peppermint or use mint Oreos.

Oreo Cookies....

So for Halloween we went and made many visits!! We went to Chad's, Aunt Julie and Uncle Steve's new house in Riverton! She had made some homemade oreo cookies! To be honest I am not a huge oreo fan but our girls are! I tried one and LOVED it! So here is the reciepe for thses yummy cookies!!

Pre-heat oven to 375

2 packages of devil's food cake mix
3/4 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs

mix ingredients together

roll into small balls (about teaspoon size)
and place on baking sheet
bake for 9 minutes

cool cookies then use vanilla whipped frosting for the middle...

Enjoy!

I used coloring gel and we made different colors of frosting! Cadence had fun doing that!!

New Moon 2009

Some of you may know that I am quite a TWILIGHT fan! If you haven't read the books I high recommend reading them! They are AMAZING! Since reading the books I have gotten to meet so many new people! I joined TwilightMoms.com! Crazy huh a website dedicated to Twilight...Well we are actually putting together a "NEW MOON" event for the release of the 2nd movie!! We are hopefully going to start planning an event for the 3rd movie since it is already filming!
But a little of why I chose to join.. Their big charity that they deal with is Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) please check out the website www.alexslemonade.org
It helps children that have cancer! They raise money to hopefully one day find a cure for it! I was very inspired by this!
Chad and I have been very blessed to have children that are healthy!
I know that if I was a parent of a child with an illness such as cancer I would do what it takes to try and find a cure. I feel it is important for me to do this not only because it deals with TWILIGHT but because it is for an amazing cause!!
I am hoping that next year I can have my own Lemonade Stand and donate the money!!
I will keep my blog updated!!

Welcome Fall...

It is that time of the year again..when the leaves change colors, the weather gets cooler..I am somewhat sad to say that it is fall...Although I love seeing the leaves change beautiful colors! So much change! I am looking forward to Halloween and Thanksgiving!! But I am sad to see Summer leave us! I love the warm weather and being able to go camping and bbqing all the time!!

It is OFFICIAL! Cadence is now in kindergarten!! She started school today! She was super excited until I got ready to leave! Then she was trying to bargain with me to stay with her! But when all is said and done she did fabulous!! We are so proud of her! She got a Hannah Montana messenger bag and new clothes! She picked out her new shoes she picked pink nike's! What can I say? She makes me laugh....

Fish Lake

A few weeks ago we took a weekend trip to Fish Lake..It was BEAUTIFUL! So nice to get away from the city! We got a 5 th wheel trailer so we had to break it in!! There are so many pictures I'd love to post them all but I can't! We had a blast!! We rented a couple of boats and my father in law took his boat as well! The kids were so worn out by the time we got home they crashed!!

SummerUpdate....

I can't believe that the summer is almost over! And I know I know I need to blog more often!
Danica is now 2 years old! Crazy how fast it has gone by! She is 28lbs and healthy as a horse! She out eats all of us on most days! She is going to be tall just like Chad.. She does have a temper but we are working on that issue! I call her my little "spit fire!" She is putting words together and asking questions alot now! She is so smart! She has picked up so much from Cadence!
I know I am biased but I have got some pretty amazing children!

Cadence is going to be starting KINDERGARTEN on September 3rd! She is so excited! Everyday she asks how many more days until she goes to school! I hope the excitement of school lasts for years! :) We took her to get new school shoes and she was so excited but disappointed when I told her she couldn't wear them until school started!

Chad and I have been staying busy with kids and work! We bought a 5th wheel trailer for camping! The girls love it! They love it so much the first night we had it home we slept in it..in our driveway! Then Cadence wanted to eat breakfast in it the next morning! Silly girl!
We are going to Fish Lake this weekend! We are going to go fishing! Cadence is excited because her papa gave her a new tackle box and a bigger pole!
I will have to post some pictures of our camping trip! We are going to try and go a few more times before it gets way too cold for camping!

Over the past little bit we have had such a great chance to connect with some friends that we have not seen or talked to in what feels like forever! I love my facebook because I have reconnected with so many people I thought I would never see again! Some that were very close to me(my bestie Stacy!) and some I knew from other friends! It has been great! I have gotten in contact with a friend that I went to jr. high with! Amazing what the internet does! I am so thankful to have the resources to me so I can contact these wonderful people!

I can't believe our baby is 5 now! She is growing up so fast! Last week she graduated from pre-school! We are so proud of her! She is so smart and beautiful! I know that all mommies are biased but we do have some beautiful girls! It seems like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital! She is really excited to start school in August! Me not so much! I am so nervous but I know that she will love it! She wants to make new friends and is very excited to have a little more independence!

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary on May 15th, 2009! What a great day it was! It seems like forever ago that we got married. We are very thankful for our lives! We are so very blessed to have 2 beautiful children and great parents who love us very much!
With that said! Chad and I went to the most AMAZING restaurant! Ruth's Chris in Park City! They have the most AMAZING food! A little expensive but we figured since it was our anniversary why not!

Las Vegas 2009

We made our annual trip to Las Vegas last week! We always go for the Monster Truck World Finals! It is way fun! It is about our only vacation with no kids for the year! As Cadence says "mommy and daddy are going to vegas for a date!" We are trying to see at least one show each time we go down there. This year we saw the Tournament of Kings dinner show at the Excalibur. The show was GREAT! Not to mention the food was yummy too! We had tomato soup, a cornish hen, broccoli, potato wedges, roll and apple danish for dessert! Here are a few pictures of our FUN trip!!!

We got to spend lots of time at birthday party's this weekend! It was Grandpa Ray's 85th birthday! We went to his home and had lunch/dinner, played darts and poker! It was great! I am looking forward to spending his 86th birthday with him too!!
Yesterday was our favorite twin's birthday! Lincoln and Jaxon are now 4! How time flies by! It seems like they were just born and being brought home from the hospital! Happy Birthday my handsome boys! We love you!
Oh and last but not least Saturday was also my cousin Tyler's birthday! He turned 13! We are having him and some of his friends over for dinner this coming weekend!

While down in AZ Cadence accidentally dropped my camera and it is at the camera shop getting fixed...Not really sure what happened but when she dropped it the lens will not open anymore... so for now no pictures..I am sad.. but hopefully I will have it back for our Las Vegas trip at the end of this month.

Cast OFF!

I took Danica in yesterday and she is officially cast free! She was really unsure when the doctor pulled out the saw to take it off, but she was my little trooper! She did so good and held still so he could cut it off!
I just thought that I'd let everyone know it is finally off!! Yay! It was a pain but she did get used to it! Now she is trying to figure out how to work her arm again! She has the hang of it though!
I will try and get a pic up soon! Surprisingly her arm looked really good and very minimal dry skin! I was very surprised but happy!

Cadence's pre-school took a field trip to the Dinosaur Museum down at Thanksgiving Point. It was a lot of fun. She had such a good time and learned lots of new things. She loves Dinosaurs and informed me that she wanted one! HAHA!! Try explaining to a 4 year old what the word "extinct" is...So much fun..The same question "but mom why??" Here are a few pictures! Ok so I have to say "Poor Danica"...she has not had very good luck so far in 2009!! Last week I took her to the doctor and she has a yeast infection which we are still battling... then yesterday she was told no and she threw a fit and threw herself down on the ground and landed on her left arm wrong!! Chad and I took her to Primary Children's and she got x-rays and they ended up putting a splint on her arm! They call it a buckle fracture since she broke the bone right below her elbow..Poor thing! So her doctor called today and we are taking her in tomorrow to get a cast on her little arm! I am so sad for her! But she is our little trooper! She has been really good and she is getting the one arm thing down pretty quick! However she thinks that she can do everything still! he has NO fear of anything! She was trying to climb on the couch and the kitchen chairs!

WOW it is 2009 already! It feels like it was just the start of 2008. It is insane how fast the past few years have flown by! I can't believe that Cadence is going to be 5 and starting kindergarten this year! I hope that everyone had a Happy and safe night last night! We stayed home with the girls and had friends over, we played games and the kids all played. It was so much fun to just hang out!
I hope that 2009 brings great things for everyone. We all need a better year so hopefully this will be the best yet!

I still can't believe that 2009 is almost here! Crazy! 2008 has been a heck of a year for most everyone I know! So many things have happened good and not so good and then REALLY bad things! But somehow we have all gotten through it!!!
I am really excited to start a New Year! I hope that 2009 is so a better year!
We will be bring in the New Year at home with the girls. There is no place I'd rather be or any other way I would want to spend our night. Cadence is way excited! I told her that she could stay up until midnight! HAHA let's see if it actually happens though!

Cadence loves to take my camera and take random pictures! She is so funny! I told her she should be a professional photographer when she grows up.. (she really wants to be a horse trainer..not sure where she got that considering she has never really been around horses!!)

CHRISTMAS!

Wow! What an AMAZING Christmas we had! We got up early well not too early! Chad actually had to go wake the girls up so we could open presents! (Our girls love their beauty sleep!!)
My parents came down and opened presents with us! The girls of course opened their Santa presents first..Cadence got her pink cowboy boots and a pink cowgirl hat! She loves them!! She was wearing her Hannah Montana jammies and her boots and hat!
Danica got some fun toys from Santa and some cute outfits!
We had everyone over for breaktfast.. I made aeblskivers (which if you don't know what it is they are YUMMY! they are a danish breakfast. they are like little pancakes but a different type of batter cooked in a specific pan.. you can either put powdered sugar, fruit, syrup or jam on them...We love them at our house! My grandma made a breakfast casserole and we had bacon and lots of other goodies!! It was so great to have everyone here!

Ok so here is another post...
I must admit that I have been doing a lot of thinking lately!
I know scary huh!
But I couldn't sleep (I have entirely way too much going on in my head)
So here is a list of the things that I am thankful for:

Chad-he really is my best friend,AMAZING husband and AMAZING dad!
Cadence and Danica- they are such fun to be with and make me love life
My parents and In-laws- I don't even have words to say how much they mean to us!
Chad's job- because there are lots of people who don't have one right now!
Our home-so we can provide a warm place for us and the girls
Reliable cars-so we can get to where we need to go
Our family- they really are great people
Friends-we do have great ones!

I could make this list forever long but I am not going to! I am just thankful to have so many wonderful and caring people in our lives...

Holy cow Christmas is tomorrow!!!

I know I said I wanted to keep this updated and I failed! Maybe it will be my resolution for 2009!
Things have been super hectic the past few weeks..trying to get ready for Christmas has been a bit insane!
Cadence had her first preschool performance last week and it was so cute! Chad recorded the whole thing I don't think I can post it cause it is almost 1 hour long!
I might have a picture I can post! She wasn't really into the whole singing and dancing thing! She kept taking her santa hat off and refused to wear the sunglasses and reindeer antler props! There was one song she just sat on the stage and yawned! It was funny!

I did have surgery last week. I had a deviated septum and swollen and enlarged turbinates ( the warming recepticals) so they shaved the bone down and cut the turbinates down, since the nose is so narrow I didn't get to get stitched up! I just have to let it heal on it's own... really a huge pain.. I can't blow my nose for oh another week or so and you know I never knew how much we really do it until I am told not to do it!
I did sneeze yeterday! OUCH!!!!! My poor nose started bleeding! I go to the doctor today and he will clean my nose out! Hopefully I will be able to breathe better! He says full effect of surgery can take 8 to 12 weeks! But in the long run I will be able to breathe!! YAY!

The only bonus of surgery was that I got all my Christmas shopping done early! YAY for me!

I still can't believe Christmas is tomorrow! I am really excited cause we are having Christmas at our house this year! Everyone is going to come and breakfast here!

THANKSGIVING!

Crazy that we just had Thanksgiving! I am so glad it is over though, because that means Christmas is coming soon! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope that everyone else did too!
This past week has been crazy. Chad had to go out of town for work so it makes for long days without him! Hopefully he doesn't have to again anytime soon!
Miss Cadence was watching Dancing with the Stars the other night with my mom while I was cooking dinner and well needless to say she ended up tripping over her feet and hit her mouth on our glass coffee table! She is ok now but my goodness you would have thought someone was killing her! If she sees her own blood she kind of freaks out! Well her front tooth ended up going through her lip and I am sure it is going to fall out soon! And she will have a nice little scar where it went through. She did have a big fat lip and was devastated by the whole thing so I promised her I wouldn't take any pictures of her.
We are getting family pictures done tomorrow afternoon and I will be posting them sometime next week as well!

Cadence Update

So I thought that I'd give a update on Cadence and pre-school. She is still loving it! They have learned all the letters in the alphabet and can count to 100! The do art projects all the time and I am keeping all her pre-school work in a binder so she can practice!
They took a field trip a few weeks ago to a real teepee! It is at a nursery here in Salt Lake and she had fun! It was snowing so it was freezing! But she got to pick a pumpkin before we left so she was thrilled!

Halloween

I know this is a few days late but we have had so much going on in the last few weeks! It has been crazy at our house!! We took the girls up to my mother in laws work for a lunch and then Cadence had a party at her preschool and they did a little parade and then the teacher made witches brew aka root beer with plastic spiders and snakes! And then they just danced to Halloween songs and passed out candy!
The girls had so much fun trick or treating! We took them to my mom and dad's, chad's parents, my grandma's and Chad's grandparents houses! They both had so much candy that they ate! I am surprised that they went to sleep!!

Fall is here!

I just have to say that I am very excited that fall is here! It is so beautiful to see the leaves changing colors! Although I am not a huge fan of the cold weather! It has been freezing here lately! It is crazy how the weather has been this year!
I am so excited that Halloween is coming up! Cadence decided to be Bat Girl! The costume is pink with silver! She looks so cute in it and was so excited to find that costume! She freaked out and she tells everyone "oh I freaked out when I saw it!" I think the store thought she was a little crazy! She started jumping up and down and she yelled "mom I found BAT GIRL!!" It was too cute!
Danica is going to be a mummy! I figure she will be warm with the costume! I got her some little stretch pants and a long sleeve shirt to go under her jumpsuit! I will have to post pictures!
Cadence is so excited to go trick or treating! That is all she talks about! How much candy she is going to get! Ha what she doesn't know is how much she is not going to get to eat!!!

Cadence's 1st Field Trip!

Cadence and I went on her very first field trip today! We got to go see the Fire Station! Let me tell you she was so excited to go there!! All she cared about was seeing the BIG TRUCKS!! They did a small presentation about fire safety and the firefighters did a skit with puppets. It was fun! Here are a few pictures of her and her class on the trucks!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to write and update everyone on what is going on with us. We are sad that summer is ending and no more camping til next summer! Bummer! However Chad,Cadence and my dad went fishing today. They have been dying to go again since we last went for Chad's birthday. I know that I am looking forward to the Holidays this year I always love the fall time except the horrible weather that we get here! I really dislike the snow. we are all very happy and healthy.
Chad's cousin Nick just left for Afganistan yesterday so please say a prayer for him and his family. He will be working in one of the prisons over there for the next 9 months! So let's pray that he returns to us safely!
Our very good friend Christine came home yesterday from Kessler,Ms. She was there for the Air Force which she joined earlier this year and we are so glad to have her home however she is going to be stationed in Washington state for the next 2 years and possibly going to be stationed somewhere else next year. Not sure yet. You know the military can always change their mind!
Well we have just been busy the last few months but now it will slow down for us!

Cadence has officially started pre-school! She loves it! She is going to Little Learners Academy in West Jordan, it is a few minutes from our house. There is a total of 16 kids in her class and she has two teachers. Ms. Jessica and Ms. Lani. They are learning their ABC's, colors,shapes and numbers. Everything there is musically based so they get to sing alot. She is having so much fun there making new friends. Here are a few pictures from her first day!

Mini Vacation

So this week we took a mini vacation down to Moab Ut. I had never been there before! Crazy I have lived here most of my life and I had never been there! Now I have! It was so BEAUTIFUL!!!! Chad had to go and look at some pools down there so we packed the kids up and we went! We had a good time! It has been a while since we have been able to get away...
We went to Arches National Park and it was so AMAZING. I'd seen pictures but the pictures do the park no justice! If you have never been there. GO!! It is so worth the drive and the $10 to get in the park! You can go and hike up to the arches! Just beautiful!

Danica's 1st Birthday

I can't believe that our little Danica is going to be 1 tomorrow! How time flies! This year has been so much fun watching her grow and seeing the bond between her and Cadence develop. Cadence loves being the big sister and always tells me "mom, I can do it cause I am her big sister." Most days I just let her. As long as they have a good relationship I am happy.
It is funny to think that the day after we brought Danica home, Cadence didn't want to have her here and insisted we take her back to the hospital. As Cadence said to me "mom the dr. needs Danica.."
But a year has gone past and now they are best buds!
We are having Danica's bday party tomorrow afternoon. I will get some pictures posted!

We went camping to Yearns up in Manti Canyon! We had such a great time! It wasn't too hot there was lots of trees. We went fishing and caught lots and lots of fish!!!! We also took the 4 wheelers and got to ride those around. I can't wait to go back there and camp again! We had lots of fun!

Ok so for some of you, you know who I am talking about! Chelsea Eskelson Patterson! What a wonderful woman and dear friend that was taken far too soon from us. It has been nearly 3 years since the tragic day that we lost her,however over the past 3 years she has watched over many of us. If you knew her you just loved her she was one of the most giving, generous, selfless, amazing people I knew. Honestly the list goes on and on about her. If you never got the chance to meet her..boy you missed out!!! I am posting some pictures of the great times we had with Chels!
